We took the nasty, green shag (from the late 60's) out of the back room. It was nasty (as in gross and disgusting). The carpet pad had bonded itself to the floor, so we had to scrape, scrape, and sand the floor, but now it's clean. I think I picked up a strong latex allergy after sanding and breathing all the dust from the carpet pad. Oh well, at least we don't feel the need to shower every time we walk into the room.
